small single-aged stand of mature sycamore on a floodplain terrace. Understory is open with herb layer comprised almost entirely of Bromus diandrus. Tall elderberry forms a scattered shrub understory. To the east of the stand on the floodplain is a younger stand of more open sycamores, likely a 10 to 15-year-old restoration effort.
